Hello MEPS members,
The Malaysia Educational Psychology Society invites you to our third Professional Sharing Series session of 2025 - featuring Ms. Ann Hui Ling who is also a general committee member of MEPS!
In this session, Ms. Ann aims to provide an insider view of how international schools in Malaysia structure and implement learning support systems. Drawing from her 11 years of experience across Tier 1 to Tier 3 international schools, Ann will explore how access arrangements, school-based policies, and ecosystem-level factors determine the level of support students with learning needs can receive. She will also reflect on how these systems may serve as reference models for local schools seeking to enhance inclusive practices.
Speaker Profile:
Ann is an experienced international educator with over a decade of leadership and teaching experience across IB and IGCSE curricula. She holds a Master’s in Educational Psychology and is passionate about bridging school systems and student support. She focuses on how school systems and policy implementation shape access to learning support, especially for students with additional needs.
Join us for this insightful discussion on optimising learning support frameworks in diverse educational settings. The Zoom link will be provided to all MEPS members on the day of the session.
And if you're not currently a member, we invite you to become a part of MEPS! Register now by clicking here!

The Sektor Pendidikan Khas, Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Sembilan (JPNS) conducted a specialised training session for members of the Malaysia Educational Psychology Society (MEPS) on the screening process for identifying students requiring special needs support. The training focused on equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to assess students effectively and determine their eligibility for special needs programmes and classes. Key topics included understanding the screening criteria, administering appropriate tools and assessments, recognising early indicators of special needs, and interpreting results accurately. This initiative aimed to enhance the capacity of MEPS members to support the early identification and placement of students in suitable educational settings.
We welcome new members to join our growing community of mental health advocates - your involvement will further strengthen our capacity to support students in need whilst gaining valuable professional experience in psychological assessment.
